Welcome newly-admitted Fall 2021 volunteers, and congratulations on your acceptance into the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) organization at UCLA!
As a reminder, certain requirements must be met before you will be able to assist clients in the upcoming 2022 tax season:
- Attend 1-hour training sessions during Fall Quarter Weeks 3-8 AND Winter Quarter Weeks 1-2 on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM PT in Boelter 2444, administered by the UCLA VITA training team. If you cannot make the training session, please email us at vitauclavolunteer@gmail.com for alternative instructions about viewing training recordings.
- Pass weekly quizzes after each training session, due the following Wednesday at 6:29 PM PT (before the next week’s training session).
- Complete the IRS certification exams at the conclusion of training by Friday, January 7th at 11:59 PM PT
For returning volunteers, more information about the Returner Exam will be provided in early December.
